Bethel Park girls tennis caps big year with postseason success
Bethel Park’s girls tennis team capped a dominant 2026 regular season with a perfect 8-0 section record and a Section 4-3A title, finishing 12-1 overall, before reaching the WPIAL team final for the fourth consecutive year. Senior Cami Fisher reached the WPIAL Class 3A singles final for the first time, falling in three sets to four-time champion Meriwether McCargo of Shady Side Academy after a hard-fought battle, while the doubles duo of Mackenzie Smock and Cassie Sierka won the WPIAL 3A doubles title. Coach Gary Reese praised the team’s work ethic, leadership, and commitment on and off the court.
Bethel Park High School to host Sisters in Sports Day
Bethel Park DECA and Girls on the Run will host Sisters in Sports Day from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at Bethel Park High School, introducing girls in kindergarten through eighth grade to sports and the benefits of athletic participation. Admission is $8 per girl, with parents attending free, and proceeds benefit Girls on the Run.

Mackenzie Smock and Cassie Sierka won the WPIAL Class 3A doubles tennis championship on their home court at Bethel Park High School.
Bethel Park hosts Upper St. Clair on Youth Night; new stadium entrance rules in effect
The Hawks host neighboring Upper St. Clair on Friday for Youth Night, with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. and all fans entering through Gate A or the Purkey Field Gate, where they will be screened by metal detector or wand. Fans should arrive early and review the stadium rules, including a clear-bag policy, no re-entry or admission after halftime, and bans on weapons, alcohol, tobacco, noisemakers, field access and tailgating.
BPHS honors staff and students at Homecoming pregame ceremonies
The Homecoming Committee presented Staff Spirit Awards to band director Chad Thompson, chemistry teacher Hannah Camic, and mathematics teacher Josh Lape. Brad Kszastowski received the Staff Service Award for his work with various student groups. Student Spirit Awards went to Daphne Mach and Cami Fisher.
