Title IX Disclosure
Title IX is a Federal Civil Rights Statute that states: No person in the United States shall, based on sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
As part of Bethel Park School District's mission to prepare students today for the challenges of tomorrow, it is our responsibility to continually develop an organizational culture that is respectful and inclusive of all students and staff. To that end, the District strives to maintain a safe, positive learning environment for all students free from discrimination.
In 2020, the U.S. Secretary of Education amended the regulations implementing Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. The rules now require that districts update certain policies, identify specific roles, and post information related to Title IX on the District website.
