DECA students working with BPVFC on social media project

Bethel Park High School seniors Bryan McGuire and Dominic Ollio have boosted the Bethel Park Volunteer Fire Company’s social media presence as part of a DECA competition project, dramatically increasing online engagement while raising awareness about the costs of maintaining an all-volunteer, self-funded department. Their efforts, which will be presented at the Pennsylvania DECA Career Development Conference in February, focus on recruiting new members, improving fundraising, and dispelling misconceptions about who can serve as a volunteer firefighter.

December Crumbl Cookies Students and Staff of the Month

Crumbl Cookies recently announced its December 2025 Students of the Month. The honorees receive a certificate acknowledging their contribution to their school and community and a Bethel Park t-shirt. They also receive a $15 gift card and a free cookie from Crumbl Cookies.

December Rotary Student of the Month: Grace Perdziola

Bethel Park High School has named senior Grace Perdziola its December 2025 Rotary Student of the Month for her outstanding academic achievements, leadership roles, and extensive service to the school community. Perdziola, who holds a 4.529 weighted GPA, leads multiple clubs including Student Government and Girls in Engineering, excels in music, and has earned numerous honors such as National Merit Scholar and a Society of Women Engineers Certificate of Merit.

Bethel Park School Board reorganizes, elects new officers

The Bethel Park Board of School Directors reorganized in early December, electing Buffie Faes as president and Christina Headley as vice president, welcoming new member Colleen Sokira, and swearing in all members before the Honorable Ron Arnoni. The board also announced a return to meeting on the third and fourth Tuesdays of most months, reappointed its solicitor, and released a preliminary 2026 meeting schedule.

BPHS students earn top honors at DECA District III Conference

Bethel Park High School earned 11 DECA trophies, qualified students for the state conference, and celebrated Carly Conroy’s election as the 2026–27 District III representative under the competition’s new format.
