Bethel Park School District uses ParentSquare as its primary communication platform to keep families informed and connected. Through ParentSquare, families receive a variety of communications, including district-wide announcements, school-level updates, classroom newsletters, event reminders, emergency alerts, and more. Messages are delivered through multiple channels — including email, text message and the ParentSquare app — to ensure families receive important information in the way that works best for them.
If you ARE receiving communications from the school district, there is no need to take any further action. Conversely, if you ARE NOT receiving district communications, please read on to understand why it's important to maintain your information with the school district and how to ensure its accuracy.
ParentSquare draws its contact information directly from Focus, the district's Student Information System, through a nightly syncing process. This means that if your contact information is inaccurate or outdated in Focus, you may not receive district communications through ParentSquare. If you are not receiving messages, the most likely cause is a simple data issue in Focus that can typically be resolved quickly with a brief phone call to your child's school. A staff member will be happy to review and update your information on the spot.
While downloading the free ParentSquare app is NOT required to receive district communications, it does enhance the experience by making it easier to manage notifications, view message history, and communicate directly with your child's school. We encourage all families to ensure their contact information is current so they never miss an important update.
