An electrical fire on a telephone pole near Bethel Park High School earlier Tuesday disrupted network, internet, phone, and door access across the district. No schools were directly impacted by the fire.
District officials are working with service providers to restore connectivity. In the interim, communication between district schools, the bus garage, and district families remains limited.
Tonight's two separate school board meetings will proceed as scheduled. The district will use a mobile hotspot to provide BoardDocs access for board members and a Zoom link for public attendees. The YouTube livestream may be delayed pending restoration of connectivity.
