Eintracht Bethel Park, the fantasy soccer team of Bethel Park High School's German Club, finished fifth out of 27 clubs in Group B of the Goethe Institute of San Francisco's "Bundesliga Total!" fantasy soccer league for the 2025-2026 season.
The team, consisting of junior Reed Zeis, sophomore Matthew Williams, and freshman Jack Waterstram, earned 173 points by watching German-language highlight videos from Germany's top professional soccer league, answering questions about the videos and league, and predicting match outcomes from October through May.
Eintracht Bethel Park spent three of the season's seven rounds in first place and earned the "Herbstmeister" title as the team leading at the winter break—the first time in the club's history it topped the standings during a season.
The fifth-place finish marked the club's fifth top-five performance since joining as an inaugural member in 2015. The team has been runner-up twice and has never finished outside the top 10.
Eintracht Bethel Park also won the "Pittsburgher Derby," finishing ahead of teams from Central Valley, Fox Chapel, Moon, Mars and Springdale as the top Western Pennsylvania team in the league.
The competition, sponsored by German professional soccer club 1. FC Union Berlin, included teams from the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. The team was managed by BPHS German teacher Mr. Christopher Tobias
