The Bethel Park High School chapter of the Delta Epsilon Phi German National Honor Society inducted seven new members into its ranks in an after-school ceremony on Thursday, May 14, 2026.
This year’s inductees were senior Katharine Tabler, juniors Victoria Carberry, and Alexander Skaris, sophomore Gavin DeMart, and freshmen Evan Joslin, Emma Nelson, and Jack Waterstram.
In order to be eligible for Delta Epsilon Phi, a student must have a minimum GPA of 3.6 in German and a minimum overall GPA of 3.0. In addition, he or she must have at least one non-weighted nine-week grade of an A over any given three-semester period and may not receive a grade of C or lower during any nine weeks during any three-semester period. Students in Delta Epsilon Phi must also demonstrate a commitment to continuing their study of the German language, as well as to personal and academic integrity.
The ceremony was attended by current Delta Epsilon Phi members and the BPHS German Club officers. The guest speaker was BPHS teacher Holly Troesch, a former president of the BPHS German Club and a member of Delta Epsilon Phi.
