Bethel Park High School inducts 27 new members into French National Honor Society

Bethel Park High School welcomed 27 new members into its Société Honoraire de Français chapter at the annual spring induction ceremony on May 14, bringing the chapter's total membership to 56.

The French National Honor Society recognizes high school students who have demonstrated excellence in the study of the French language and culture. To qualify, Bethel Park students must maintain a 90% average throughout their French studies. The chapter and the French Club also collaborate each year to sponsor a Haitian student, reflecting a commitment to global citizenship and cultural exchange.

"These students have shown remarkable commitment to mastering the French language and understanding its cultural nuances," said Michelle Smith, the department's facilitator. "Their induction into the Société Honoraire de Français is a testament to their hard work and enthusiasm for learning."

New inductees are Vincent Cavagnaro, Kassie Elkins, Alexander Fleming, Charlotte Glisan, Justin Hughes, Andrew Kucharik, Hazel McGregor, Jackson Tena, Raelyn Walker, Addison Will, Phoebe Willis, Larissa Wissel, Mia Young, Shamla Amin, Travis Bushmire, Audrey Francis, Kaylee Gastgeb, Colleen Kuhn, Emma McCullough, Renee McNees, Addison Mills, Gabriella Parker, Lila Simonis, Kaylee Wong, Stacy Bhattarai, John Lamb, and Chance Nannini.

Returning members included Ciera Erbrecht, Ava Friday, Grant Gealey, Liam Handerhan, Gracie Hope, Ryan Krappweis, Leena Miloua, Lauren Pushic, Andrea Solorzano, Ellis Stearman, Shelby Studeny, Presley Thimons, Maura Blum, Madhu Hasini Chava, Liliana Centofanti, Salome Ferreyra, Kaylee Kreigline, Addyson Markwood, Lyla Paull, Gianna Young, Elaine Flaherty, Madison Geraud, Aida Fleck, Alaina McKain, Ava Cerro, Harley Dale, Lucy Martin-Farmer, Grace Perdziola, and Caroline Zelt.
