Free Carnegie Museums memberships available for Pennsylvania teens ages 13-18

The Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh is offering free teen memberships to all Pennsylvania residents ages 13-18, providing unlimited access to four of the region’s premier cultural institutions.

The Teen Membership program grants free general admission to the Carnegie Museum of Art, Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Carnegie Science Center, and The Andy Warhol Museum. The program is generously supported by the Grable Foundation.

In addition to free admission, teen members receive invitations to exclusive events and programming, free reciprocal admission at more than 300 Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) museums and science centers nationwide, and discounts on classes, camps, educational films, laser shows, lectures, and special events. Members also receive a 10 percent discount at museum stores and cafes, which increases to 20 percent during Member Shopping Days.

Officials say the program is designed to give teens meaningful ways to connect with art, science, and culture — and to find their own voice.

“From youth artmaking to teen science challenges, the four Carnegie Museums offer so many creative ways for teens to connect with each other and their world,” said Steven Knapp, the consortium’s President & Chief Executive Officer.

Teens may apply online at carnegiemuseums.org/teen, in person at any of the four Carnegie Museums, or by mail to Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, ATTN: Membership, 4400 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213.
