Bethel Park High School German students won six awards at the AATG Three Rivers German Day Competition on April 9 at Washington & Jefferson College, earning more prizes than any of the dozen competing schools.
Junior Victoria Carberry swept the art categories, taking first place in drawings, second in proverb posters, and third in paintings.
Seniors Christian Tabler and Colin Finnegan placed third in the Culture Bowl competition, falling just short of becoming the first students to win the event three years in a row after victories in 2024 and 2025.
Tabler also won first place in fiction writing, while senior Samuel Hoppe placed third in nonfiction writing.
Other team members included freshmen Flynn Coleman and Jack Waterstram, and seniors Benjamin Campbell and Holly McGough.
All students study German at various levels from German I through AP German V.
