Bethel Park students shine at FCCLA State Leadership Conference

Four Bethel Park High School students showcased their talents at the 2026 State Leadership Conference of the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) this week. The event took place at the Kalahari Resort, bringing together aspiring leaders from across the state.

Freshman Caitlin Foote earned a bronze medal in the Focus on Children event, while the freshmen team of Ella Dolman and Audrey Francis secured a silver medal in the Entrepreneurship competition. Jackie Pivetz also received a silver medal for her skills in Cake Decoration.

In addition to her achievements at the conference, Pivetz, a senior, has set her sights on a bright future in the culinary arts. She plans to attend IUP – Punxsutawney for Baking and Pastry before transferring to the school’s main campus to pursue a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education. Pivetz was awarded a total of $2,500 in scholarships, which includes $500 from FCCLA’s Say Yes to FCS program and $2,000 from IUP Culinary, Baking, and Pastry.

The Bethel Park High School FCCLA chapter is sponsored by Mrs. Heather Veltri, who recently celebrated 10 years of dedication as an adviser. Veltri was recognized during the conference for her significant contributions to the organization and its student members.

The conference provided students not only with an opportunity to compete but also to connect with peers and professionals in their fields, furthering their development as leaders in their communities.
