Bethel Park High School recently hosted its 2026 National Honor Society induction ceremony, recognizing new members, honoring distinguished alumni, and celebrating the achievements of the Class of 2026.
The ceremony, held in the high school auditorium, featured remarks from Principal Mrs. Racquel Sutton and included the introduction of this year’s distinguished alumni inductees: David L. Barraclough (Class of 1971), Damian M. Ferrese (Class of 2004), Roger Graham (Class of 1988), Margaret Ann Mannella (Class of 1969) and Judy Murtaugh Volpatti (Class of 1976).
Senior Tyler Benlock serves as National Honor Society president for 2026, joined by Vice President Callee DalBon, Secretary Julia Bitkowski and Treasurer Nate Purcell. The group led the ceremony, including the recitation of the National Honor Society oath.
Students also delivered remarks centered on the organization’s four pillars — scholarship, leadership, character, and service — highlighting the qualities required for membership. At Bethel Park, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.85, complete at least 35 hours of community service, demonstrate leadership, and provide faculty recommendations.
More than 100 seniors from the Class of 2026 were recognized for their membership and contributions, along with newly inducted students from the Classes of 2027 and 2028.
The ceremony also featured performances by the school’s Top 21 vocal group under the direction of Mr. Todd Kuczawa and concluded with the presentation of certificates and closing remarks from Mrs. Sutton.
The Bethel Park chapter of the National Honor Society continues to emphasize academic excellence, leadership, and service, while celebrating the accomplishments of both current students and distinguished alumni.
