Culinary Students Spice Up Bethel Park with Chili Cook-Off

Bethel Park High School’s Advanced Culinary students turned up the heat recently during a student-led chili cook-off that generated excitement throughout the building.
 
Students selected their own recipes — some using family favorites — created shopping lists and prepared their chili from scratch. Judges included high school staffers Mr. Brennan Hoffer, Mr. Bill Wells, Mr. Michael Borsani, Mrs. Samantha Latham, and Chef Jon Lloyd.
 
Two teams tied for first place:
  • Hayden Morrison and Jackie Pivetz (P2 K4)
  • Maxx Meussner, Jace Rendulic, Ryan Bergia, and Eric Miehl (P3 K2)
 
Second place honors went to:
  • Matt Martin, Anthony Grippa, Corbin Troxell, and Tanner Vogel (P2 K3)
  • Dominick Petraglia, Nick Esposito, and Max Janosik (P3 K3)
 
First-place teams received custom handcrafted wooden spoons as trophies.
