Several Bethel Park High School students earned national recognition for their performance on the 2024 National Spanish Exam, placing in the 50th percentile or higher among more than 80,000 participants nationwide.
Students from Ms. Alyssa D’Alessandro’s Spanish 4 Honors and AP classes and Ms. Laura Ralyea’s Spanish 2 and 3 Honors classes earned multiple medals and honorable mentions in the prestigious exam, which tests vocabulary, grammar, reading comprehension, and listening skills.
- Gold medalists were Ema Hughes and Jacey Vinoski.
- Silver medals went to Neha Adhikari, Julia Bitkowski, Magnolia Cavagnaro, Sophia Iorio, Nevinka Ratnayake, Trey Slavonic, and Kate Sullivan.
- Bronze medalists included Kristina Adhikari, Samuel Bell, Petar Budesa, Bryleigh Burke, Rocco Capozzoli, Nicholas Coleman, Caleb Crawford, Atiya Foulke, Jose Garcia, Jason Koerbel, Ella Korb, Joseph Kwak, Krysten Lam, Ailey Laskovich, Cody Majetich, Riley Philage, Bryce Postler, Juan Reynoso, and Lily Yester.
More than 50 other students earned honorable mentions. The National Spanish Examinations are the largest of their kind in the United States and are considered a benchmark of excellence in Spanish language learning.
