Four BPHS Students Named Steel Center CTE Extra Effort Award Winners
Steel Center CTE November SOTM
Four Bethel Park High School students have been recognized as first-quarter Extra Effort Award Winners at Steel Center CTE including, senior, Kaden Tovcimak (Computer Technology); and sophomores, Katie Clouston (Medical Professions), and Jonathan Huber (Building Trades and Maintenance,). Brandon Janusek (Advertising Design) was also honored.

Each quarter, Steel Center’s very best students are recognized for their consistently high achievement and outstanding overall performance. The recognition is meant to acknowledge the students’ unwavering commitment to their career and technical education as demonstrated by their outstanding achievement.

Tovcimak hopes to go to Pittsburgh Technical College where he’d like to study cyber-security. “I used to watch a lot of YouTube videos on how to hack into systems and that spurred an interest in how to best protect them,” he said.

Clouston, whose mother is a nurse, has always had an interest in medicine. “I like to help people and I have always had an interest in cardiology, so that is an area I would like to pursue,” she said.

Huber plans to attend a four-year college after high school but he would also like to develop his trade skills. “I just think diversifying my skill-set is the best way to go because it gives me something to fall back on,” said Huber.
