Minick Named Bethel Park Rotary February SOTM
Rotary SOTM - February 2023
The Bethel Park Rotary Club’s February Student of the Month is Bethel Park High School senior Anna Minick. She was recently recognized at a small luncheon at The Garden Restaurant [4912 Gardenville, Road, Pittsburgh, PA, 15236].

Minick is a very busy young lady. In addition to working part-time at Clean Juice, a Smoothie shop in Peters Township, she is also heavily involved in several activities, including the National Honor Society dance and Induction representative, the Best buddies e-board member, and as a Student Government Association senate member. She was also a four-year member of the Hawks girls soccer team. Despite all those activities and other interests competing for her time, Anna still has a weighted GPA of 4.5. She credits her classroom to success to her work ethic.

“I am not naturally the smartest person in every class, especially math, but I found that with hard work and dedication, I can achieve whatever I put my mind to,” she said.

The Bethel Park High School plans to study Speech Pathology in college, and she is still considering Duquesne, Pitt, and Penn State.

Anna is the daughter of Jamie and Steven Minick.  Her brother, Ben, graduated from Bethel Park High School in 2019.

Students are nominated for Bethel Park Rotary Student of the Month by administrators, teachers, students, or community members. They are chosen based on academics, scholastic, extracurricular, civic honors and awards, organization membership, and leadership.

At a monthly luncheon, honorees receive a certificate acknowledging their contribution to their community. For more information on Rotary and its mission, please ask any Rotarians about it or visit bethelparkrotary.org.  You can also visit their Facebook page.
