Students Make Pinwheels For Peace
September 21 is designated as Peace Day and Washington students celebrated the day by making Pinwheels for Peace.
Students in Mrs. Mittner's art classes made six inch pinwheels that they took home to put in their yards to commemorate the day. Additionally, students worked in groups of eight to create one of the larger 18-22 inch pinwheels which were displayed outside Washington as a colorful art installation to remind everyone of Peace Day.
The pinwheels were beautiful. Please click here to see some photos.
