BPSD Cafeterias Earn 30 Diamonds From ACHD

The Allegheny County Health Department recently concluded their first round of unannounced inspections of Bethel Park School District cafeterias, and all cafeterias passed inspection and earned a combined total of 30 Diamond Awards.

      
Diamonds are the highest award given by the Allegheny County Health Department and are given only to those facilities that demonstrate exceptional sanitation and food handling practices.
      
Bethel Park High School and George Washington Elementary School earned five Diamonds each; Independence Middle School, William Penn Elementary School and Benjamin Franklin Elementary School earned four Diamonds each; Neil Armstrong Middle School and Abraham Lincoln Elementary School earned three Diamonds each; and Memorial Elementary School earned two Diamonds.
      
The Allegheny County Health Department annually conducts two unannounced inspections of school district cafeterias.
 
Metz Culinary Management provides food services for the Bethel Park School District.  Joe Consolmagno is the District’s Food Service Director.
