Five Bethel Park High School students successfully applied and were accepted to participate in Career Connections apprenticeship programs this school year, sponsored by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit.

Participating in these programs are seniors Cole Carter (Robotics) and Shadiyah Feliciano (Zoo Animal Care); junior Bree Hayes (Zoo Animal Care) and sophomores Hailey Flood (Architecture) and Rebecca Mack (Conducting).

The Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Career Connections Program consists of either one half-day or one day-long experience per month over a six or seven month period during the school year.

Participants meet and work with local professionals who are willing to share their expertise, experience and enthusiasm for their careers with the students.  The program provides students with hands-on, behind-the-scenes experiences and provides the opportunity to make professional connections with organizations and people who can help them as they pursue their career choices.
