The Bethel Park School District is pleased to share that we have a site license for

Read&Write that can also be used at home for free!

What is Read&Write?

Read&Write lets everyone read, write and express themselves more confidently. This
software works as a “toolbar” in conjunction with familiar tools such as Word, Google
Docs and web browsers. It offers a range of powerful support tools to help students gain
confidence with reading, writing, studying and research.

The easy-to-use toolbar makes documents, files and web pages more accessible.
Read&Write is a big confidence booster for anyone who needs a little support with their
reading and writing. Its friendly literacy features help any student, including students
with learning difficulties, dyslexia, English learning needs, or other disabilities.

From hearing emails or documents read out loud to text prediction, picture dictionaries,
summary highlighters, and a grammar, spelling and word checker, Read&Write makes
literacy tasks simpler, quicker and more accurate to support learning in any classroom
and at home.

This technology support is accessible on student Chromebooks and is available for
any student use. At home, Read&Write is accessible to your child by using their
own Google account.

files more accessible for everyone:

The district is collaborating with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit for training and
consultation for assistive technology supports, with the goal to increase the interest
and usage of Read&Write.
