Bethel Park High School and Independence Middle School Eighth Grade Orchestra Musicians did a great job rocking the house at the Electrify Your Symphony Concert, which took place on Friday, November 22 in front of a SOLD OUT crowd in the Bethel Park High School auditorium.
The show began with a performance by the IMS Eighth Grade Orchestra who showcased their musical talents by performing songs by classical rock artists Electric Light Orchestra and Led Zeppelin, to name a few.
Over 130 Bethel Park High School musicians entertained the packed auditorium, under the direction of international performing artist Haydn Vitera, who brought out the best in these talented musicians.  The set list included:
  • Carry on My Wayward Son (Kansas)
  • Come Fly with Me (Mark Wood)
  • Fireball (Mark Wood)
  • Eleanor Rigby (Beatles)
  • Luminocity (Mark Wood)
  • Runaway Baby (Bruno Mars)
  • Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana)
  • Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin)
  • Thunderstruck (AC/DC)

The students performed on traditional as well as electric stringed instruments.  This is the fourth time Electrify Your Symphony has come to Bethel Park and the third time that Mr. Vitera prepared the students for this outstandingly fun evening of music!
