Bethel Park High School will host the groundbreaking music education program, Electrify Your Symphony! 2019-2020 Ultimate Tour, on Friday, November 22 at 7 PM in the Bethel Park High School auditorium (309 Church Road).

International performing artist Haydn Vitera will transform Bethel Park High School and Independence Middle School string musicians into a full-fledged rock orchestra, playing contemporary pop music plus selections by Led Zeppelin, The Beatles and more on traditional as well as electric stringed instruments.

Tickets purchased in advance from any of the participating musicians are $5.  Tickets purchased at the door on the evening of the performance will be $8.  All proceeds benefit the Bethel Park High School Orchestra Program.

This is the fourth time this program has been offered in Bethel Park and the third time that Mr. Vitera will lead the students.  He has performed with Stevie Wonder, George Strait, Asleep at the Wheel, Delbert McClinton, Los Lonely Boys and Itzhak Perlman, and has entertained American troops stationed in the Middle East.

In addition to preparing the students to play the music for the concert, Mr. Vitera will also help them with their improvisation and personal expression.

Among the selections to be performed that evening are “Carry on Wayward Son,” “Runaway Baby,” “Thunderstruck” and “Stairway to Heaven.”
