Art Teacher Creates New Seuss Wall

William Penn Elementary School is an even more beautiful place, thanks to a new Dr. Seuss-themed wall that was painted in a hallway by Penn Art Teacher Kelly Eckert-Graffam.

This wall depicts Mrs. Eckert-Graffam’s favorite Dr. Seuss book, Horton Hears a Who, and features the quote, “A person’s a person, no matter how small. And their whole world was saved by the smallest of all.”
This colorful creation, which took about 35 hours to complete, is a beautiful companion to the Seuss-themed mural that Mrs. Eckert-Graffam painted last year on the wall opposite the newest mural. This newest creation continues the theme of “everyone counts and everyone makes a difference.”
She calls these beautiful murals “labors of love.” Thank you, Mrs. Eckert-Graffam, for sharing your time and talents in such a colorful way!
