Megan Malecki claimed the WPIAL title in girls pole vaulting with a jump of 11.9 feet at the WPIAL Championships at Slippery Rock University.  Jenna Lang (above) also qualified for the state meet in the 1600-meter race.  Other notable performances included:

Megan Malecki - 1st Place - Pole Vault *State Qualifier*
Jenna Lang - 2nd Place - 1600 Meter *State Qualifier*
Jenna Lang - 5th Place - 3200 Meter
Alexa Psotka - 5th Place - Javelin
Michael Conroy - 6th Place - 110 Meter Hurdles
Scott Orzechowski - 6th Place - Javelin
Michael Conroy - 8th Place - 300 Meter Hurdles

Senior, Alexa Psotka, who placed fifth in the Girls Javelin at the WPIAL Championships, was a favorite going into the meet.  Unfortunately, a late injury made it painful to throw, but she battled through it to represent Bethel Park. Alexa said after the meet that though she was disappointed in the result, she was deeply appreciative of the community's support throughout her athletic career and remains incredibly proud to have competed for Bethel Park!
