The Bethel Park School Board voted unanimously at its Feb. 22, 2022 meeting to adopt a calendar for the 2022-2023 school year.
Next school year will begin on Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022 and will end on Tuesday, June 6, 2023. The outdoor graduation ceremony is scheduled to be held at Black Hawk Stadium at 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, June 8. In the event of inclement weather, that ceremony could be rescheduled for the same time on Friday, June 9 or Saturday, June 10, 2023.
Some other highlights include:
- Fall Break will run from Nov. 24-28, 2022, with students and staff returning to school on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2022.
- Winter Break will run from Dec. 23-30, 2022, with students and staff returning to school on Monday, Jan. 2, 2023.
- Spring Break will run from April 6-10, 2023, with students and staff returning to school on Tuesday, April 11, 2023.
Other days off for students and staff include Monday, Sept. 5, 2022 (Labor Day), Monday, Feb. 20, 2023 (Presidents Day), and Monday, May 29 (Memorial Day).
The Staff Development Days (In-Service) will be held on Aug. 22-23, 2022, Tuesday, Nov. 8, Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2023, Tuesday, Feb. 21, and Tuesday, May 16. Records Days, which also mean no school for students, are slated for Wednesday, Aug 24, 2022, Friday, Oct. 28, Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, Monday, March 27, and Wednesday, June 7. Additionally, there will be scheduled two-hour delays for staff development on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022, Thursday, Feb. 2, 2023, and Tuesday, April 11.
The Make-Up Days, in the event of an unexpected day off are slated for (in no particular order), Dec. 23, 2022, April 6, 2023, April 10, June 7 and June 8. Bethel Park will also continue to consider its remote learning options in the event of an unforeseen occurrence or emergency.
