Washington families had fun working and learning together at the school's first Family STEM Night! This event was hosted by the Washington PTO and held in the school's cafeteria.
Families had the opportunity to rotate through 10 different stations, including "Make Your Own Bouncy Ball," "Make Fuzzy Fountain (elephant toothpaste)," and "Build Your Own Simple Electric Motor," as well as answering the questions to "What Flies Farther--A Glider Or Paper Airplane?", "Can You Fill A Balloon With Gas?" and "Will It Sink Or Float?"
Families could spend about 10-12 minutes at each station, exploring and learning, before heading to the next station. If there was a wait to get to the next station, activities such as a cup stacking challenge, paper plate maze and puzzles were available to pass the time and keep the creativity flowing!
