Lincoln Staff Create 'For The Love' Community Service Project

← Back Print This Article

If you visited the Bethel Park Community Center, The Spencer YMCA, the Bethel Park Public Library or the Sheridan Senior Living in Bethel Park on Saturday, February 9 between 9 AM and Noon, you probably saw staff members from Lincoln Elementary School who were there to make a difference in Bethel Park by participating in a community service project they called “For the Love.”

They had enough materials to make 198 fleece scarves that they planned to donate to several local organizations such as the AGN Cancer Institute, St. Clair Breast Cancer Center, Overlook Green, Allegheny County Children and Youth Service and the South Hills Interfaith Movement, to “wrap the scarf recipients in love.”

If you stopped and helped them to make a scarf, we thank you! But more importantly, we thank the Lincoln staff for doing this wonderful thing to make a difference in the lives of so many!

We thank our caring Lincoln staff for organizing this wonderful project that is designed to let people know that they are remembered and valued.  Bravo!
