Fourth Graders Participate In Random Acts Of Kindness Week

Franklin Fourth Graders in Mrs. Meucci’s room celebrated a Random Acts of Kindness Week by doing something kind every day of the week.

Activities included writing an email to either their parents or a teacher to thank them for being awesome, writing positive messages for noontime aides and bus drivers; drawing a picture for their postal carriers; drawing a picture and delivering it to a nursing home; and leaving sticky notes around the school with positive messages on it.
For the sticky note project, students were given three Post-It notes and they brainstormed as a class about the kinds of messages that they could put on the notes. Suggestions included “Be Yourself,” “It’s a good day to have a good day,” “You’re amazing” and “You make me happy.”
Once the students had their messages written, they walked down the Franklin hallway and left their notes randomly on the lockers for the students to enjoy.
