Three Lincoln Students Are Winners In The WQED Writers Contest

Lincoln Kindergarten student Jack Ford, First Grade student Alexis King and Second Grade student Olivia Anderson were named Winners in the 2019 WQED Writers Contest!
 
Jack earned First Place for his story, "The Accidental Car Thief;" Alexis earned Second Place for "The Land of Everything Sweet," and Olivia earned Third Place for "Delilah's Deer Away." 
 
They were recognized at a Winners Red Carpet Celebration on May 31 at WQED’s Fred Rogers Studio and awarded prizes, including the opportunity to record their winning story for broadcast on iQKidsRadio.org and featured on Saturday Light Brigade Radio in the summer.  K-3 students’ stories were made into an original puppet play by Pittsburgh Puppet Works.   
 
Congratulations also to Franklin Fourth Grader Adele Stamenov, who earned First Place, and to Franklin Third Grader Sydney Kellander, who earned Second Place.
