Thirteen Bethel Park High School students successfully applied and were accepted to participate in apprenticeship programs this school year, sponsored by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit.

Participating in these programs will be seniors Samantha Brown (Marine Biology), Garrett Caragein (Filmmaking), Morgan Cook (Digital Photography), Rachel Holt (Zoo Animal Care), Stephanie Kroll (Journalistic Writing and Reporting), Madison Miller (Leadership), Austin Read (Engineering), Brooke Waldo (Marine Biology) and Alexa Will (Writing for Publication).
Also participating are sophomores Marisol Casanova (Marine Biology), Trinity Ferency (Zoo Animal Care), Alena Kauric (Marine Biology) and freshman Braden Lloyd (Conducting).
The Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Apprenticeship Program consists of either one half day or one day long experience per month over a six or seven month period during the school year.
As apprentices, students meet and work with local professionals who are willing to share their expertise, experience and enthusiasm for their careers with the students.  The program provides students with hands-on, behind-the-scenes experiences and provides the opportunity to make connections with organizations and people who can help them as they pursue their career choices.
