Students Watched Chickens Hatch, Thanks To Mrs. Joseph's Chicken Cam!

← Back Print This Article

Penn First Graders annually learn about chickens and learn about the egg hatching process.  Even though we're not in school together, Mrs. Joseph still went forward with the project.

Students were able to watch the chicks hatch and grow by viewing them on Mrs. Joseph's Chicken Cam.  They started hatching on Monday, May 18--on Day 21.  Six of the seven eggs hatched!  They were available for watching on the Chicken Cam for two weeks before being transported to Freehling Farms by Penn Music Teacher Mrs. Johnson.  Four of the six chicks returned to the farm and two of the chicks were adopted by a William Penn Family.
