On Nov. 4, in a celebration held in Washington, DC, by the United States Department of Education, Bethel Park High School became just the 37th Pennsylvania high school to win the National Blue Ribbon School award.

The three-person delegation of Bethel Park High School Principal Mr. Joseph Villani, teacher Mr. Vic DiPrampero and Superintendent Dr. James Walsh were in the nation's capital to formally accept that recognition on behalf of the school and school district.

In September, the U.S. Department of Education announced that Bethel Park High School had been selected as a 2022 National Blue Ribbon School. BPHS was among 297 schools nationwide to be chosen for this prestigious honor and is just the 36th Pennsylvania high school ever to receive this designation.

It is important to note that this is the school district’s third National Blue Ribbon School award, with Independence Middle School twice having earned that distinction.

On November 2, 2022, BPHS held a National Blue Ribbon Schools Day of Celebration, including commemorative t-shirts, group photos, and free student treats.

We encourage everyone to take a minute to watch Bethel Park’s acceptance video, produced by our friends at BPTV and which highlights many things that make Bethel Park such a unique community in which to live and learn.
