Music Department Wins 27 Awards On Spring Trip To Myrtle Beach

The Bethel Park High School Music Department earned 27 awards during its Spring Music Trip to the Festivals of Music Competition in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, including 10 First Place Awards, 11 Superior Ratings, four Best Overall Awards, one Outstanding Award and one Second Place Award.

Earning First Place Awards and Superior Ratings were the Bethettes, Majorettes, Drumline, Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Chamber Orchestra and Top 21 in the Chamber Choir and Jazz Choir events.
Best Overall Awards were given to the Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Orchestra and Top 21 Choir.  The Symphonic Band earned the William D. Revelli Best Overall Concert Band Award.
Additionally the Jazz Ensemble’s Saxophone Section earned the Outstanding Section Award, and the String Orchestra earned a Second Place Award and a Superior Rating.
The students are taught by Bethel Park High School Music Teachers Stephanie Glover, Todd Kuczawa and Chad Thompson.
