Some Highlights of Neil Armstrong School
• We have more than 70 staff members who educate more than 700 learners each day.
• Our 7 fifth grade teams are comprised of 2 teacher interdisciplinary teams.
• Our 3 sixth grade teams are comprised of 5 teacher interdisciplinary teams.
• Our fifth grade unified arts program includes L.I.F.T., music, art, and tech-ed.
• Our sixth grade unified arts program includes health, music, art, and tech-ed.
• Foreign Language (Latin, Spanish, German, & French) is provided to sixth graders.
• Fifth grade students participate in Keyboarding/Technology Applications.
• We have an extensive collection of novels, periodicals, and reference sources and 15 computers in our library.
• We have extracurricular organizations including "Just Say No" Club, Battle of the Books, Yearbook, Newspaper, chorus, band, orchestra, literary magazine and other after school activities.
• We have a televised morning news program co-produced by students and staff.
• We participate in numerous charity events throughout the year.
• We have two school counselors.
• We have a comprehensive health and physical education program.
• Our music department includes band and jazz band, choral music, and orchestra for fifth and sixth graders.
• We have two computer labs that are internet accessible.
• Our PTO is very active and provides great support to our school.
• We offer an after school tutorial (H.O.T.T.). National Honor Society students from BPHS work with our students to promote academic success.
