State Assessment Information

House Bill 178, which was recently passed into law, includes a change to the school code that makes proficiency on the Keystone Exams a graduation requirement for the class of 2020.

All students, with some limited exclusions, who fail a Pennsylvania state assessment (Keystone Exam) will be required to take remediation until they score proficient (or the end of the junior year) on the required state assessment(s).  The Keystone State Assessments are currently administered in the subject areas of algebra, biology and literature.  All students who fail to pass the state assessment (Keystone exam) will have the opportunity to complete a Project Based Assessment (PBA).

*Changes in state regulations/law may necessitate modifications at any time.
