First Graders to Appear on Steelers TV Show!

First Graders in Mrs. Joseph's and Miss O'Matz' classrooms had the opportunity to showcase their knowledge about the Pittsburgh Steelers by participating in a segment that will be shown on "The McDonald's Steelers KidZone" television show, which airs on Sundays at 10:30 AM on the CW.

Students were asked about all things Steelers for a segment called "Ready...Set...What?" and they provided some interesting responses to the questions.  For example,

Q. Who is the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers?

A. Steely McBeam

Q. Why does Willie Parker run so fast?

A. Because he eats his vegetables.

Q. Who do the Steelers play on Sunday?

A. The New York Yankees

Q. How many minutes are in the two-minute warning?

A.  11

Mrs. Joseph's students will be featured on the Sunday, September 20 show and Miss O'Matz' students will be featured on the Sunday, September 27 show.  Check them out!

The Steelers gave the students gift bags as a thank you for their participation in the program and Steely had an opportunity to pop into all of the Penn classrooms to say hello before he had to get back to Heinz Field!
