Pal Shares Favorite Story with Fourth Graders
Officer Scott Zinsmeister, our Bethel Park Police Pal,
visited Mrs. Callahan's fourth grade classroom as a Mystery
Reader and shared one of his favorite books with the students,
Nubs: A Mutt, A Marine and A Miracle. The book is a
true story about a United States Marine stationed in Iraq and the
friendship he developed with a dog in Iraq, who traveled 70 miles in
the desert to follow his soldier friend when he was relocated to a
base that did not allow animals, and his subsequent flight to the
United States to become a family pet. Officer Zinsmeister was
one of many Mystery Readers to visit Mrs. Callahan's class to hare a
favorite story and tell the students why books are important in
their lives. Other Mystery Readers include Superintendent
Tom Knight, Assistant Superintendent Nancy Aloi Rose and
School Board President Donna Cook, to name a few. Thank
you, Mystery Readers, for sharing your love of reading! |
