Third Graders Learn About Geodes

The Washington PTO annually sponsors a special interactive assembly for all Third Graders that coincides with their science unit on rocks and minerals, featuring Mr. Jeff Smith, better known as the "Geode Guy."  The students were able to experience the excavation process of geodes through a slide show presentation from Mr. Smith and then they had a chance to examine Mr. Smith's personal collection.
