Pittsburgh Business Times Rates BPSD #13 in Western PA
The Pittsburgh Business Times published its 2013 Guide to Western Pennsylvania Schools and ranked 104 school districts in a seven-county area based on PSSA scores for 11th, 8th, 7th, 6th, 5th, 4th and 3rd grades from 2010-2012.

The Bethel Park School District was ranked #13. 

Other highlights included:
• Bethel Park High School ranked #13 of 122 high schools for 11th grade scores;
• Independence Middle School 8th grade scores ranked #14 out of 149 schools and #23 for 7th grade scores out of 148 schools;
• Neil Armstrong Middle School ranked #27 for 6th grade scores out of 202 schools and #17 for 5th grade scores out of 281 schools;
• Bethel Park 4th grade scores ranked #21;
• Bethel Park 3rd grade scores ranked #23
• Of the 497 school districts ranked in Pennsylvania, Bethel Park was #46.
