Lincoln students are gearing up for the second year of their Community Garden with a Garden Day Celebration!
The focus of the celebration was "community partners," and the students participated in a food drive to collect cereal, oatmeal, rice and beans for the South Hills Interfaith Movement's (SHIM) Food Pantry.
The students also decorated reusable bags for the food pantry patrons to use when shopping at the Food Pantry for their groceries. The students also donated resources from PBS so the clients at the food pantry could make their own reusable bags at home.
Garden Day was a great way to be a part of the community and to gear up for planting season, which will be happening SOON!
