Hawks For Hurricane Relief
filling buckets full of school supplies for hurricane victims
Thanks to the efforts of DECA students, the BPHS Latin Club and the students in Mrs. Schuster's History Classes, $1,362 was raised and supplies were collected to help the victims of this fall's hurricanes.

The money was raised through in-class donations, a Miracle Minute at the Fall Spirit Assembly, the sale of camo bandanas for Homecoming (which were printed by the BPHS graphics department), and collections at Bean and Berry as well as the Homecoming tailgate.

In addition, over 40 gallons of school supplies were collected for Texas schools that were affected by Hurricane Harvey.

All of the items and money were distributed through Brother's Brother of Pittsburgh.

Leading the project were sophomores Maria Christenson, Riley Evans and Alyssa Sholder.
