Healthy Changes in Our School Cafeterias!
Congress enacted the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act, which impacts all public school cafeterias beginning with the 2012-2013 school year.

The Act enacts tough new federal nutrition standards for school meals, ensuring that meals are healthy and well-balanced to provide students all of the nutrition they need to succeed at school.

School lunches must includes milk, fruits, vegetables, proteins and grains and they must meet strict limits on saturated fat and portion size.
