Students Earn Three Awards At FCCLA National Competition

Three Bethel Park students earned three awards at the Family Career and Community Leaders of America’s (FCCLA) National Leadership Conference, which was held in Atlanta, GA.

 
Rising freshman Anayah Hunter earned a Gold Award in the Food Innovations category for her project, “We All Scream for Juniper Berry Ice Cream.”
      
Rising sophomore Alyssa Vetere received a Silver Award in the Recycle and Redesign category for her project, “Trashin’ To Fashion.”
      
Rising eighth grader Mia Geudtner received a Bronze Award in the Recycle and Redesign category for her project, “Denim To Décor.”
      
The students qualified for this competition by earning awards at the FCCLA State Competition, held in the Spring.
      
The students were prepared for this competition by Independence Middle School Family and Consumer Science Teacher Heather Fontana.
