BPHS To Host FREE Community Program On March 27

Bethel Park High School has partnered with the Bethel Park Police Department to host a free program, designed to raise awareness of the impacts of impaired driving.  The program will be held on Tuesday, March 27 at 6:30 PM in the Bethel Park High School auditorium, and the program is free.  All are welcome to attend.
The program is presented by the Trooper Kenton Iwaniec Memorial Foundation to honor DUI victims, raise awareness of the seriousness of impaired driving and encourage the community to have a positive influence on the reduction of impaired driving.  State Trooper Iwaniec was killed on March 27, 2008 as he was returning home after work and was hit head-on by an impaired driver who crossed the centerline and hit Trooper Iwaniec’s vehicle less than two miles from his home.
The Iwaniec Family welcomes the opportunity to share Kenton’s story on the 10th anniversary of this tragic death.  Bethel Park High School students will participate in a similar program during the school day on March 27.
Please come out and learn what you can do to prevent this from happening again.   Please click on the link below to learn more about Tooper Iwaniec and the March 27 program.
