In case you don’t know, the First Day of School for ALL Bethel Park students for the 2017-2018 school year is Wednesday, August 23. We look forward to welcoming everybody back for another great school year!

Schedule Information

Schedules for all Bethel Park schools are available in the Home Access Center, beginning Monday, August 7. The email address for the HAC will change after 8 PM on Monday, August 14. The new link will be shared with you after the change has been completed.

2017-2018 BPSD/Municipality Calendars

The 2017-2018 Bethel Park School District and Municipality Calendars have been mailed to all Bethel Park School District parents. Additional copies can be picked up at the Bethel Park Administration Building, all Bethel Park Schools and the Bethel Park Public Library. The calendar can also be viewed online at: http://www.bpsd.org/Downloads/2017-2018calendarfinal.pdf.

Transportation Information

Transportation information for Bethel Park School District students will be mailed the week of August 7.

Make Sure Your Child’s Vaccinations Are Up To Date

The Pennsylvania Department of Health has revised its list of required vaccinations for school age students. You can see that information online at: http://www.bpsd.org/Downloads/NewSchoolVaccination_parents_required%20vaccinations.pdf. Please make sure your children are up-to-date on their vaccinations by the first day of school. By law, the District can exclude children from school who are not current with their vaccinations. Thank you for ensuring that your students' vaccinations are current, to not only keep your children healthy this school year, but the other students in the Bethel Park School District as well.

Free and Reduced Lunches

The Bethel Park School District participates in the National School Lunch Program. Please be aware that Free/Reduced Meals are available to those who qualify. Applications for the 2017-2018 school year can be found online at: http://www.bpsd.org/Downloads/FreeReduced2017-20184.pdf. Please be advised that if your children qualified for Free/Reduced meals for the 2016-2017 school year, you MUST reapply for 2017-2018. Student Accident Insurance for the 2017-2018 School Year

The Bethel Park School District does NOT carry medical insurance on students. However, the District does provide parents with the opportunity to select a primary excess group insurance plan for students. This plan can be purchased any time during the 2017-2018 school year. Health Coverage Through CHIP

The Pennsylvania Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) covers uninsured kids up to age 19 in Pennsylvania. It does not matter why the child does not have health coverage. Most kids receive CHIP for free and others can get the same benefits at a low cost. CHIP is offered by leading health insurance companies who offer quality, comprehensive coverage. Flu Shots

The Bethel Park School District Nurses will be administering the Flu Vaccine to students on Wednesday, September 27 in all Bethel Park Schools. Parental permission is required before the vaccine can be administered. Paperwork will be coming out at the beginning of the school year, but please mark the date on your calendar. Flu shots for Bethel Park School District employees will be administered on Thursday, October 26.
