BPEF Student Essay And Artwork Contest

The Bethel Park Education Foundation is partnering with the Bethel Park Historical Society and the Bethel Park High School Fall Play, "The Heist," to sponsor an Art and Essay Contest for Bethel Park students in grades K-12.

The categories are Art K-4, Art 5-8, Art 9-12, Essay K-4, Essay 5-8 and Essay 9-12.  Winners in all categories will receive a $100 Visa Gift Card.  Students may enter in both the Art and Essay categories.

The theme of the contest is, "How do you feel that Bethel Park is unique?"

All essays must be typed and double-spaced in 12 point Times New Roman font.  The maximum word limit for students in grades K-4 is 250 words; grades 5-8--750 words, and grades 9-12--1,000 words.

For the art contest, eligible mediums include drawing, painting, photography, sculpture, video and music.  The maximum size for artwork is 16x20.  The maximum length for videos and songs is 4 minutes.

All entries must be submitted to the front desk of the Bethel Park Public Library by Sunday, October 15 at 5 PM.  Entries can also be submitted via email to mcintoshc@einetwork.net by Sunday, October 15 at 5 PM.

All residents of Bethel Park are eligible.  Winners will be contacted by the Bethel Park Public Library by Wednesday, November 1, 2017.
