Three BPHS Artists Recognized by Scholastic Art Awards
Three Bethel Park High School art students had artwork selected for exhibit in the Scholastic Art Awards, sponsored by the Alliance for Young Artists and Writers.
Junior Kristine Hulefeld earned a Silver Medal for her mixed media painting. Freshman Amy Beaudine received Honorable Mentions for two pieces of her artwork and sophomore Clare Nero received an Honorable Mention.
Their entries were selected for award and exhibit from works submitted from 1,300 students from the Pittsburgh region. Their art is now on display at the Cantellops Gallery on the LaRoche College campus through February 23.
They are taught by Bethel Park High School Art Teachers Christen Palombo and Kent Wallisch.
