The Pennsylvania Department of Education presented Keystone Achievement Awards to seven Bethel Park schools for making Adequate Yearly Progress on the PSSA Exams for two consecutive years.
Awards were presented to Independence Middle School, Neil Armstrong Middle School, Abraham Lincoln Elementary School, Benjamin Franklin Elementary School, Memorial Elementary School, George Washington Elementary School and William Penn Elementary School for outstanding PSSA scores for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years.
The awards were presented to each school's principal by School Board President Donna Cook and Assistant Superintendent Nancy Aloi Rose during a recent school board meeting.
