Clyde Qualk Named a 2013 PA Teacher of the Year Semifinalist
Bethel Park High School Science Teacher Clyde Qualk has been named a Semi-Finalist for the 2013 Pennsylvania Teacher of the Year.
He will find out in May if he is one of the 12 Finalists to be recognized by the Pennsylvania Chapter of the National State Teacher of the Year and the Pennsylvania Department of Education at a ceremony to be held in the Fall.
Mr. Qualk is the fifth Bethel Park Teacher to advance to the Semifinalist level since 2008. He joins Bethel Park High School English Teacher Christopher Jack, a 2012 Finalist; William Penn Fourth Grade TeacherKathryn Kasten, a 2011 Semi-Finalist; BPHS English Teacher Charles Youngs, a 2009 Finalist, and retired Penn Kindergarten Teacher Cindy Buckley, a 2008 Semi-Finalist.
