First Graders Study Illustrator Eric Carle

First Graders learned about children's book illustrator Eric Carle and his book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, to help them better understand how to draw a caterpillar. Art Teacher Amy Smeal-Mittner showed the children how to put geometrically shaped blocks together to form a model from which they could draw their own caterpillar.  They did a great job, didn't they?
