Kindergarten Students Enjoy Working in Centers

Lincoln Kindergarten students in Miss Brethold's classroom enjoy working together in small groups and rotating from one activity to another, which they call "centers."  Two of the center activities this day were involved looking at sets of like objects and determining which set was larger, and making tigers out of paper orange plastic plates and construction paper.

Students use interesting magnetic shapes such as turtles and butterflies to create different size sets.

Students then draw lines to connect items in the two sets to determine which set is larger.

Students tear black construction into strips and use a glue stick to affix the stripes on the tiger's face.

Don't the tigers look great?
